We’re thrilled to introduce four highly anticipated new security features for Dropbox Business. This year has been incredibly challenging, especially as most teams shifted overnight to working from home and IT leaders had to find a way to protect company data while maintaining employee privacy. As an IT administrator, you had to scramble to deploy tools employees needed to work from anywhere without compromising security. To answer your needs, Dropbox has built new security capabilities to support you as you navigate this new way of working:
- Data Classification for Dropbox Enterprise users, lets you automatically classify sensitive and personal data so you can better protect it.
- Our new external sharing reports give you insights into which files were shared outside the company, who shared the files, and when.
- Alerts and notifications provide real-time updates on any suspicious or risky activity within Dropbox so you can respond immediately.
- We’ve added data retention to our Data Governance Add-On—now you can set retention policies so you can better adhere to regulations like GDPR.
We’re also proud to announce four compliance certifications for Dropbox Business.
With Dropbox transitioning into a Virtual First company in 2021, we know what many of our customers are also going through with their distributed teams, and we’re here to help.
