Dropbox today announced that World Skate, the international governing body for skateboarding and roller sports, will use Dropbox Sign to simplify how athletes and member federations complete agreements around the world. Using the Dropbox Sign API, World Skate will embed signing directly into Infinity, its core athlete and event management platform, providing users with a World Skate-branded experience.

 

Headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, World Skate brings together approximately 137 national member federations and around 10,000 athletes who compete at world championships every year. It represents disciplines including skateboarding, scootering, freestyle and speed skating, rink and inline hockey and artistic skating. 

 

Across its international network, World Skate will use Dropbox Sign to send documents covering event requirements, regulations and participation agreements for athletes and member federations to sign electronically. Once signed, the documents and their status will feed back into Infinity, allowing World Skate to manage registrations within the wider tournament workflow. The integration will support World Skate’s athlete and tournament processes connected to World Championships and the Olympic Games.

World Skate is currently expanding its use of Dropbox Sign to other departments, including Human Resources, Legal, Sponsorship, and Finance. To implement this, the organization is collaborating with Topix AG, an experienced Dropbox channel partner specializing in digital document and business processes, with many years of expertise in the media and communications industry. Internal uses will include employee documentation, legal agreements, commercial contracts with sponsors and partners, and finance documents requiring signature, providing teams with a more consistent way to move agreements through signature and completion, while reducing manual handovers between departments.
