AMER MDF Program Updates for 2026

Dropbox continues to evolve the AMER Market Development Fund (MDF) program to make it easier for partners to plan, execute, and measure high-impact marketing investments.

Continuing from 2025
The following enhancements remain core to the MDF program:

  • Partner-journey–aligned MDF guidelines, supporting activities across Recruit, Onboard, Enable, Demand, Pipeline Acceleration, and Retention.
  • Clearer Proof of Performance (PoP) requirements, with defined performance metrics required for each MDF activity to improve ROI visibility and speed up claim validation.
  • Dedicated global MDF program ownership, providing centralized management of vendors, budgets, and claims for a more consistent partner experience.

New for 2026
Several updates have been introduced to further simplify execution and improve predictability:

  • Standardized PoP templates (EN only) to reduce back-and-forth and accelerate reimbursement timelines.
  • Refined MDF expiration policy to minimize last-minute financial risk and support better planning for partners and sales teams.
  • Enhanced MDF proposal structure, with clearer guidance on objectives, KPIs, ROI forecasting, and tracking to help partners submit stronger, more measurable requests.

Together, these updates are designed to make MDF easier to use, faster to reimburse, and more closely aligned to partner growth goals.
